dear gavin,
you are the light of my life. you have grown, learned, and changed so much since the day we took you home from the hospital; what an awesome privilege that i have to get to be with you every day to watch your little capabilities unfold.
at seven months, you love bananas. LOVE them. to the point of getting a spoon full and leaning forward with your mouth dropped open for the next bite. another thing you just can't get enough of are gerber bites. it's so fun introducing you to new foods! you can also sit up for an extended period -- all by yourself! what a little man! you can roll from front to back and then back again and while you're not crawling just yet, i have a feeling it's not too long before you're well on your way to scooting around the house. you can recognize people and sometimes you don't like it too much when mama or daddy leave the room. (this you let us know by protesting... loudly!) i love that you can reach your hands up when you want to be picked up and i love your wonderful belly laugh. you are such a happy child. we feel so blessed to have been gifted with a child who posses such a cheerful disposition.
you're an easy going baby and mama does not, for a single second, take that for granted. 95% of the time, you go down for naps and bed like a dream. the other 5%? ah well, we're all allowed to have bad days. :) a few weeks ago, you took your first international flight (across the pacific!) to visit grandma and grandpa and you handled it like a champ. such a good baby boy.
my sweet gavin, i love you so much. you're seven months and i feel such pride for you and for the little person you continue to grow to be. i look forward to what the next few months will bring as we close out your first year.
love you forever,
mama

I have no idea where to begin...
So basically, 5 days after I wrote my last post, B and I packed up for our month-ish long trip to my parents' house. My parents, by the way, live on the other side of the world, so this was no ordinary pack job. Throw in two people travelling internationally with a baby for the first time and you get craziness.
So yeah. We've been away from Oregon for quite some time. I have updates about our fab vacation and stuff Gavin's been doing and I have no idea where to start. Since Gavin hits the 7 month (!!!!!!) mark tomorrow, I may start there.
Sounds like a plan. If you can't tell, I'm not feeling to charged to do anything swiftly these days. Spending days on end in the South Pacific (with 24/7 babysitters aka grandparents) will do that for a girl. :)
